Your tour guide or his manager has a diploma in environmental management, so his knowledge for the flora and fauna in the area is second to none. Bird species you may encounter during the tour may include: Fantail, Kingfisher, Tui, Harrier Hawk, NZ Falcon, Heron, Shag, Mallard Duck, Paradise Shelduck, Australian coot, New Zealand Scaup (black teal), just to name a few. Then if you are lucky we will also see a lot of different fish species also.
